Dinner Treat for Daddy's Birthday

Assalamualaikum & good day.
Just nak view our special dinner khas buat daddy on his birthday. The event took place on 25th November last Sunday. 







In the afternoon we had our routine outing & lunch @Giant Rimba food court. Otw back we dropped by to have our chill ice cream @ Dairy Queen (kununnya mommy belanja birthday boy & the gang la). 

Hehe, reached home at about 5pm straight away transform myself into 'masterchef tak jadi'. Mmg dah lama plan nak prepare western dinner on his birthday tapi xde la grand bebenor. Just had my campak2 recipes + holding my old time western recipe book as my guidance, alhamdulilah jadi jugak.

Main course for daddy, special mommy made 'Sizzling Lamb Grill' & the gang layan 'Rosemary Roasted Chicken' with mushroom sauce. We also had baked cheezy potato & buttery vege. Last but not least a bunch of mix fruits. Lovely!!!!

For recipes; sizzling lamb grill, I just marinated the lamb with salt+black pepper+readymade steak seasoning. Then grill them until well cooked. DONE!


For the Rosemary Chicken Grill: I marinated the chicken with herbs rosemary+thyme+salt+honey. Grill then for 1hr. In between I bathed the chicken with butter. DONE!
Hahaha!!!the sauce i cheated a bit (to minimise the time & because i out of stock).
I fried the onion in melted butter & just pour instant mushroom soup. Then seasoning with black pepper+oyster sauce+'kicap pekat'. DONE!!
For those who love perfection this is the original recipe i copied fr 'Buku Aneka Masakan Barat alas 21 '

Caranya:
1. Panaskan mentega dlm periuk. Tumis bawang besar hingga wangi.
2. Masukkan cendawan (yg dicincang) & masak selama 5 minit. Kemudian masukkan bancuhan tepung jagung & kacau hingga pekat.
3. Kemudian, tuangkan susu segar, sos tiram, kicap & garam. Kacau sebati.

For the cheezy baked potato, below are how me did it.

Bahan2:
3 biji ubi kentang (belah dua)
100gm mentega
100gm keju (mommy guna cheddar)
Sedikit garam
Kertas aluminium 

Caranya:
1. Ubi kentang dibersihkan & direbus dengan sedikit garam.
2. Selepas empuk, toskan air. Kemudian, balut kentang dgn aluminium foil & susun dalam dulang pembakar. 
3. Bakar kentang hingga masak (anggaran 10-15minit).
4. Keluarkan kentang dari ketuhar & taburkan keju di bahagian atas.
5. Bakar lagi kentang sehingga keju cair & kekuningan.

Last but not lease, hehe mix fruits. Potong2 & campur je semua. Ohw lupa pasal vege. Mommy just rebus dalam air yg berisi sedikit garam+olive oil. After 5 minit, toskan vege & masukkan ke dalam mangkuk. Gaulkan 1 sudu besar butter ke atas vege tadi. DONE!
